Mirror Maze
Through such ambiguities and incertitudes,
Mirror Maze generates a puzzling tension between abstraction and architecture, which makes the status of the given-to-be-seen seem doubtful in several respects. The perplexity brought about by the initially static-looking shots only increases as soon as movement comes into play: flickering or blinking lights, shadows suddenly looming out of nowhere, distortions, reflections, and diffuse changes in light exponentially increase the enigmatic quality of the images and turn every attempt at orientation into a labyrinthine experience.
